Perhaps the least well-known of Britain's three Three Peaks Challenges, but this only secures its reputation among hikers and challenge-seekers as a hidden gem. Whereas the National Three Peaks Challenge has the crown for elevation gain, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge has distance, the Welsh Three Peaks offers a trialling balance of the two.
